BICAT is a long-horizon institution for the cultivation of meaning, memory, inquiry, patronage, and human possibility.
It exists to convene disciplines too often separated: culture and technology, art and infrastructure, philosophy and capital, preservation and invention.
A CULTURAL CONFIGURATION SPACE
MANDATE
To improve the conditions from which human prosperity becomes more possible.
Institutions shape what a society can remember, imagine, legitimize, and build. BICAT develops cultural capacity around those functions.
Its work will include inquiry, commissions, archives, education, patronage, convening, cultural intelligence, and the preservation of work whose value may exceed immediate market demand.
BICAT is not designed as a marketing instrument for Brigatt International. Its credibility depends on governance, intellectual independence, durable capital, and cultural work that remains meaningful beyond the interests of the Maison.
Culture
Culture is the living field through which societies transmit meaning, identity, memory, value, and possibility. BICAT approaches culture as formative infrastructure.
Art
Art gives form to realities that may not yet be available to ordinary language. BICAT supports art as inquiry, record, provocation, inheritance, and the creation of new perceptual possibility.
Technology
Technology is not only machinery. It is any organized means through which human capacity is extended and reality is made newly actionable. BICAT examines technical power alongside its cultural, aesthetic, and ethical consequences.
AESTHETICS X CULTURE
Aesthetics operates before full interpretation. It organizes attention, produces atmosphere, establishes legibility, and influences how identities and possibilities are encountered.
BICAT studies aesthetics as interface technology: a perceptual layer through which meaning enters lived experience.
“NEW FLORENCE”
New Florence is the long-horizon proposition of a cultural center produced through density: of talent, craft, capital, philosophy, technology, institutions, and social exchange.
It is not a recreation of Renaissance Florence. It is an inquiry into what conditions might allow another period of concentrated cultural generation to emerge in contemporary life.
